The Full Story
About
I was established in 2019. I am a self taught pastry chef, that started baking as a hobby. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL and relocated to Phoenix, Arizona with my family.
My southern style of baking stems from my roots; my mother and father! While my father was more of a Betty Crocker guy, my mother taught me from scratch! Baking from scratch is fun, memorable, and healthy. A fond memory of my mother and I is when she taught me the recipe to her 7 UP pound cake.
Once a person bites into one of my delectable treats they begin to try to figure out what’s in it that gives it such a rich and moist flavor. “What are the ingredients? This can’t be regular vanilla.” I get it all the time!
Often, my loyal senior clientele will try to run down the list of baking ingredients to figure out what I used to make my desserts taste so scrumptious. I appreciate them the most, they recognize and love my southern baking. They would often say; “your grandma taught you how to bake? You don’t taste cakes like that anymore.” My response would always be, “nope it was my mother!!”
I want to thank God for the baking memories, continuing to give me strength and the courage to chase my passion.
